Tailored Training

Tailored Training is increasingly becoming an important part of any organisation's success, and as a result more businesses are looking to enrol in tailor made training courses. Tailored Training is usually bespoke to the organisation and includes in-depth discussions with experts who are experienced in particular aspects of your industry. This enables the trainers to fully understand the challenges your business faces, and the steps you need to take to ensure your success in those areas. Also referred to as bespoke coaching, this approach is normally much more cost effective than classroom based training and can be delivered in the way that best suits your needs.

Tailored Training can be delivered in one-to-one executive coaching, group training sessions, online or CD/DVD courses and in the form of specialised courses. The one-to-one executive coaching option is excellent for those firms who do not wish to take on the cost and stress associated with having their staff to take part in teacher led one-to-one sessions. Also, the one-to-one executive coaching option can be particularly useful if your staff struggle with certain concepts and do not get enough practical experience to enable them to understand the material. One-to-one executive coaching is also beneficial for firms who wish to employ staff who are experts in one particular subject area. This kind of program can help them develop competencies and understanding and as well as develop their communication skills. In addition to the one-to-one executive coaching option, many companies also choose to enroll in group one-to-one or group training programs.

Tailored Workplace Courses is generally delivered in two formats: in classroom settings or via the web. For larger organizations, it may make more sense for them to opt for a combination of the two formats. A web based tailored course can be delivered in a number of ways: via a specially designed website, via email, via telephone, via a DVD, etc. Each delivery method can have its advantages and disadvantages; however, for larger organizations, it is often cheaper and more convenient to opt for the two-day open courses.

As well as delivering tailored training courses, some organizations also provide support for employees who need additional help when it comes to specific skills needs. For example, some organizations provide onsite supervisors who are trained to assist employees who have difficulty with certain aspects of their job. These supervisors are typically experts in their field and are able to offer advice and support in a supportive environment. Some companies also train their employees to undertake further study or workshops on specific topics such as career development or continuing education.

Tailored Training programmes are typically delivered by a qualified facilitator who has a master's degree in either Education or Business Administration. The facilitator will assess each candidate according to their suitability for the programme. If an individual has a low educational background, then they may not be suitable for a tailored programme. The duration of the programme and its specialisations may also differ depending on the type of program offered and the level of experience of the individual. Sometimes, a high or group level expertise is required in order for a certain skill to be mastered. For this, an extra level of experience may be required.

Tailored Training programmes can vary greatly in nature, design, delivery and objectives. Achieving successful implementation of a tailored programme requires careful planning and ongoing monitoring. There will always be challenges and issues that will arise; therefore it is important to consider these factors carefully and incorporate them within your overall strategic plans. As well as these issues arising during the delivery of the programme, there are other external factors that can come into play, which may prevent the success of the programme. Two major factors are related to the quality of the partners and the general environment in which the programme operates.

Identifying the appropriate vendors for your tailored training programmes is an essential step in tailoring the programme to meet your specific needs. There are different vendors available for you to choose from; however, only three-day courses are typically suitable for dealership operations. There are advantages and disadvantages associated with each vendor and the decision must be made based on your current and future dealership requirements, as well as the cost of the training, delivery times and cost of any additional tools that are needed to successfully deliver the training. Three-day courses are generally less expensive when compared to two-day courses, but there are still considerable differences in cost between the two.

Tailored training can provide your employees with the skills and knowledge they need to perform their job and increase sales. It also allows for increased efficiency and operational effectiveness. However, if you choose the wrong vendors for your tailored training courses, you may not achieve all of the desired results. Many training consultancy providers offer both custom and open courses, so it is possible to find one that best suits your dealership needs and budgets. If you have any questions, you can call or email a training consultant to discuss your options.
